LOCAL MISSION AND MINISTRY

Locally, you’ll find us serving in community organizations, as coaches, volunteers and more. Through KPC, we serve Lambton Shores and the surrounding.

Through in-school mentoring, family supper night, Grief Share, Divorce Care, DC4K and Single & Parenting. “An Extra Place at the Table” ministry supports our local food bank year round. We assist individuals and families in need, provide Christmas dinner and gifts to several local families. Pastor Chris offers short term crisis, marriage and family and grief counselling, and helpful referrals for longer term care. We have a support group called “S.A.F.E.” for families with loved ones caught in drug addiction that meets every other Thursday, 7.30 p.m; and a Narcotics Anonymous group every Wednesday, 8.00 p.m. . With other churches in town, we offer a yearly Vacation Bible Camp that in 2019 reached over 180 children!

Narcotics Anonymous

Meeting on Wednesdays at 182 Main Street upstairs, this group meets with the support of their KPC family as individuals who are courageously battling the effects of addition.

S.A.F.E. Group

The S.A.F.E.Group meets for families with loved ones caught in drug addiction. Meeting every other Thursday at 7.30 p.m to encourage, guide, support and keep accountable. This is need in our community and beyond. No judgement, Simply SAFE.

Knox Knitters

Peggy Smith works with groups in and outside of our community finding the highest needs that the knox knitters can serve in and this group goes to work! Knitting Chemo hats, Infant Outfits, Warm winter mittens and hats, socks, scarves and more. Needs are met in word and deed.

Bible Study Groups

Small group ministries and Bible Studies are offered throughout the year.

Options of in person or online are available for those taking part for individuals, couples, men and womens study time and or building times are available.

Some studies covered include the following:

Grief Share, Single & Parenting, Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, Divorce Care, The Daniel Plan, and Grace-Based Parenting.

An Extra Place at the Table

A mission that is in need more than ever -this ministry supports our local food bank year round. Other programs include Coat Drives, Blessing Bags, Income Tax Assistance, Family Meals along with individual services through the Benevolence Fund.

In-school mentoring

This program has changed lives in such incredible ways. Spending time together is enriching for both the student and mentor. In addition we have opportunities to encourage through the Sting Reading Week, The Christmas Skate & Dinner, the Remembrance Day Service, See You At The Pole, and Reading Buddies, along with many more opportunities where lives are impacted in our own community.

Holding Bread is a short devotional that takes place Monday to Friday at 9:30pm. A calming and encouraging way to end your day focusing on our Saviour with prayer, a scripture reading, insights and even music.
